Description

Nothing fancy, quick hand-drawn schematic.

The "Acervus" is a battleship class Gallente vessel designed for entrepreneurial individuals who wish to have a very sturdy vessel for mining and/or hauling cargo with the ability to defend themselves should they be attacked. Based partly on the extremely successful Vexor cruiser design, elements have been up-scaled and adapted to a battleship sized hull. The ship offers heavy armour and shield systems, along with multiple turret hardpoints for mining lasers and defensive weapons. The manufacturers stress this is not a front line combat vessel and fleet engagements should be avoided when possible. The forward section houses the bridge, part of the propulsion system, and a powerful sensor suite and drone control systems. The middle section houses crew and living quarters while the armoured "spine" on top of it contains massive cargo holds elevated above most heat-emitting systems like propulsion in order to keep cargo from any deterioration. The rear section contains engineering systems, main propulsion, and extensive drone bays which can house mining drones, or defensive drones. The Ship is slow, but the manufacturers designed the ship with massive coolant systems on either side of the main engines, allowing pilots to retrofit large and powerful afterburners without melting the rear section.
In summary, the Acervus is a ship that combines the features of a miner, cargo hauler, and battleship into one package, but is not as efficient in each role as a dedicated vessel designed for that role. A battleship jack-of-all trades.

857m Long
828m Tall

"Acervus" is latin and can mean mass/heap/pile/stack; treasure| stock; large quantity; cluster. Appropriate for the ships purpose!

Awesome sketchup there Mark. Should I do a draft of it to scale?
